Mentor Education Conference

img_2519On October 13-15, 2016 the UW College of Education hosted our first Mentor Education Conference. Guests from across the College's Teacher Education Programs and from seven other institutions came together to share our work and craft a new vision for supporting mentor teachers in their critical roles as teacher educators. We also began the work of developing specific tools to test out across our different contexts!

We were fortunate to have Dr. Sharon Feiman-Nemser from Brandeis University as the conference discussant and were grateful for her profound perspectives and contributions. The team will continue to collaborate over the course of the year, both remotely and in person, to share their learning and break new ground together in mentor education!

Partner institutions participating in this exciting work include:

University of Michigan

UC Irvine

Trellis Education

New Visions for Public Schools

Michigan State University

Boston Teacher Residency

Brandeis University

University of Washington
